Please read the following requirements for Village Status and protection. Once you feel you have met all the requirements, create a new thread in this forum to apply. Include in your post:
- The name of your village
- The names of your mayor, founders, and member
- The location of your village (Either coordinates or a map link)
- Any other information you wish to provide about your village!
Village Requirements
Villages get a full protection, and can subzone their plots as they please. (if the village is not cuboid, an Admin+ will be required to assist with subzoning). These are the minimum requirements for Village Status -
Village
(Borders may be marked with buoys rather than a wall if the border falls on open water)
• Village Hall
Make this an inviting place for people to learn about your village! You may have a location here for a future portal, shops, anything you wish. This is a representation of what your village is or will be! Please label your Village Hall so players are able to identify the build. A Village Hall must also include:
☑ Announcement/News Area
☑ Rules Listed
☑ Town Founders Listed
• Village Center
A functioning center directs visitors all over the village, you can be creative in how you do this! Maps, signs, region messages etc.
☑ Central Location
☑ Village Connections
☑ Directions Posted
• Wall
This wall must fully encompass the village, and be large enough to keep out mobs.
☑ Height - 3 Blocks
☑ Lights/Mob-Safe
☑ Fully Encloses Village
Note: There is a possible exception for island/coastal villages, see the "Lighting" section
• Farms
☑ Decently sized - Farms must be at least 10x10.
☑ Variety - At least 2 types of food for your village.
• Player Builds
These must be finished homes and include at least a basic interior. NOTE: Naturally generated structures do not count as player builds.
☑ At least 3 founder homes
☑ At least 1 member home
• Lighting/Mob-Proofing
☑ The central area and village builds and roads must be well lit for ease of use and navigation.
☑ The village region must be mob-proofed through lighting or other means of preventing hostile mob spawn.
• Coastal/Island Villages
☑ Your water borders must be marked with buoys or equivalent structures, which should be no more than 40 blocks apart. Single blocks, lines of dirt etc. will not count towards this requirement, it must be recognisable as a water border marking in the same way one would recognise your land based walls as a border.
☑ Your water border can be a polygonal shape and, for ease of sub zoning, you can request a cuboid region which will enclose your claimed area plus whatever is required to make it cuboid. NOTE: You cannot build outside of your marked border in this case, even if the region appears to extend beyond it.
☑ Any water within your marked border and within 30 blocks from land must be lit up. This means that any water surrounding an island or coastline needs to be lit up to a distance of 30 blocks, but deep ocean that is not within 30 blocks of land can remain unlit. Alternatively, you can build a three high wall around the edge of any coasts/islands within your protection.
Village Perks
- A region covering the entire arena
- May purchase anti-phantom spawning for 250c.
Once you have achieved Village status, you must continue to maintain the requirements outlined above. If your village is found to no longer meet any of the requirements you will be contacted and given a two week grace period in which to bring your village back up to requirements. If you do not achieve this, you may lose your official Village status and any perks that come with it.
Rules for Founders/Members
The following rules apply to Villages, Towns and Cities in relation to Founders and Members:
- A player may only be founder on a maximum of four settlements.
- A player may be mayor of only one settlement; this still counts as one of their founder slots.
- All founders and members must be unique players; alts are not accepted.
