ok so do the ranks have abilities for the ranks before?

lemme get this straight: If u become a rank above SK, (like QB) will u still have the abilities that SK and all of the previous ranks had?

They’re diffeerent ranks. I don’t believe there’s a limit to the amount of ranks, so you get all the abilities of all the ones you’ve done quests for.

You won't lose your current rank abilities (eg. you don't lose SK when you get DR, which is the next in the SVC chain), but you can't skip ranks to gather more than one at a time (eg. completing the DR+ quest hoping to get DR with it). They generally need to be earned sequentially (in order). There is a list of what all the ranks do and what you need in order to get each rank here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3203
