[Guide] Protections - Creating Regions/Claims

Regions/Claims
Regions/claims are very important features of Cubeville. These allow you to build in a specific area, but prevent others from building there or griefing you. You are also able to allow and disallow certain people or actions on your region. That is covered in the "Region Flags" guide. A player can claim up to 3 regions at a time. If you have the SK(shopkeeper) rank, you can claim up to 4 regions at a time.
Creating a Custom Region/Claim
With a custom region, you can create a protection of up to 50 x 50 horizontal blocks and up to 255 (bedrock to sky) vertical blocks. This option is better than using the "/claimhere" command (covered in the next section) because it allows you to define your region down to the last block.
Creating a Region/Claim with the ClaimHere Command
This method is the quick and easy way of creating a protection. Simply stand in the middle of the area you want to claim and type "/claimhere <region name>". This command creates a 49x49, bedrock to sky claim around you.
Adding and Removing Players from your Regions/Claims
Want to add some friends to your region so they can build with you? Here are some useful command for managing the members on your region.
Region Info - /rg i - Displays info about a region
Syntax: /rg i [region]
Example: /rg i ToE's_awesome_house
Usage: This command is used to display info about a particular region. If you don't specify a specific region, it displays info about the region you are currently standing in. If you don't specify a region and you are standing in multiple regions, it displays a list of the regions you are currently standing in.
Region List - /rg list - Lists the regions you are an owner or member of
Syntax: /rg list
Example: /rg list
Usage: This command displays the regions you are an owner or member of. The + next to the region name indicates you are an owner of that region. The - next to the region name indicates you are a member of that region.
Region Remove - /rg remove - Deletes a specific region
Syntax: /rg remove <region>
Example: /rg remove ToE's_awesome_house
Usage: This command deletes a specific, personal region/claim.
Add Member - /rg addmember - Adds a particular member to your region
Syntax: /rg addmember <region> <player>
Example: /rg addmember ToE's_awesome_house Twigleg
Usage: This command adds a specific user to a specific region as a member. You must be owner on the region to use this command. This allows the added member to build, break, and do everything on the regions except adding or removing other members and changing region flags.
Remove Member - /rg removemember - Removes a particular member from your region
Syntax: /rg removemember <region> <player>
Example: /rg removemember ToE's_awesome_house Twigleg
Usage: This command removes a specific user from a specific region. You must be owner on the region to use this command.
A Note About Hoppers and Shulkers
Unlike regular chests, there two storage containers are not automatically protected by LWC when you place them. Anyone can access them unless you take steps to protect them. See the "Regions Flags" guide for more specific info on region flags and how to use them.
Hoppers, are best protected by putting a region flag on the region they reside in. Either the "-g nonmember Interact deny" flag or the "-g nonmember Chest-Access deny" flag work well to deny people not members on the region from accessing the hoppers.
Shulkers are much simpler to protect. Simply place a sign on the shulker box to prevent others from opening it.

Steps to Create a Custom Region
Step 1. - Type "//wand" to bring up the region selection tool
Step 2. - Left click a corner of the area you want claimed with the wand. Right click the opposite corner with the wand.
Step 3. - Type "//size" to show you the current dimensions you have just selected.
Step 4. - Adjust the region selection (as you did in step 2) larger or smaller if you want or need to. Remember: you can only claim a max of 50x50 horizontal blocks.
Step 5. - If you don't want to have your region extend from bedrock to sky, skip this step. Type "//expand vert"
Step 6. - If you completed the previous step by typing "//expand vert", skip this step. Type "//expand <number> <direction>" For example, if you want your region to be extended 25 blocks higher, you would type "//expand 25 up". If you wanted it expanded lowed, you would type "//expand 25 down".
Step 7. - Now that you have your region selected, type "/claim <region name>" Example: "/claim ToE's_awesome_house" Success! You have claimed a region!
