Patreon UpgradeFirstly we would like to thank everyone who has supported Cubeville on Patreon over the years. You literally keep this server going, making sure the bills are paid and we can make improvements. We appreciate you all and hope that you have enjoyed playing on Cubeville and the rewards you get for your donations.
As you will note from the title, we are looking to upgrade our Patreon so we can offer better rewards across the board. It has been a long time since our Patreon was set up and it seemed like now would be a good time to update and improve things. To that end we are making the following changes to our patreon rewards.
➳ Monthly Rewards
We will continue to produce a monthly Patreon reward item, using fancy effects to make it truly unique. It might be a bow that trails particles behind the arrow, boots that leave a trail as you walk, a wand that fires a jet of water, or any other number of ideas we'll come up with. These items are unique to our patrons and can't be obtained any other way.
One of our patreon rewards last year gave you your very own apple tree!
➳ Patreon Points
For each dollar you donate to Cubeville each month on patreon, you will earn one 'Patreon Point'. These points can be spent on the monthly items we release, which each cost ten points. So if you are a $10 donator you will continue to get your item every month. But if you are a $5 donator it means that you can now get an item every two months etc. We hope that this change will make it feel more rewarding to be a Cubeville patron, no matter which tier you're at.
The change to Patreon Points also means that you will no longer have a chest from which to pick up your prizes, rather there will be an NPC in the new Patreon House who trades fancy items for patreon points. Once an item is created and added to the NPC it is available for the rest of the map lifetime, so if you join Patreon later, or you are only able to buy an item every few months, you will be able to pick which item you want to buy from any that have been released so far on the map, or you can save them and see if something you prefer comes out later.
➳ Patron Discord
In order to better engage with our patrons we will be creating a patron only discord channel. This will allow us to announce the monthly rewards, get your feedback and ideas on future items, and overall make sure you are happy with your patron experience. Note that this new channel is just for Patreon related discussions and will not be an opportunity to skip the line when asking SA's questions about CV in general.
➳ New Patreon House
No longer will you need to go hunting through the skyscrapers of CVC to find the Patreon house! Instead it has moved to a lovely coastal location in the new Spawn, easy to find and access, with great views over the sea. Claim your rewards in style at the new mediterranean Patreon House!
