The Cuberia project is excited to announce the start of an election to elect the Prime Minister (2nd in command, head of day to day operations). In the 'Cuberian Government Powers and Duties Act', the Prime Minister is elected twice a year, and forms part of the executive leadership of the project with power across Survival and Creative. The PM role runs the assemblies, chooses project & department managers and leads on creating new rules/laws for the project.

As of today (June 17th), nominations are OPEN. Find out how nominations work below.
If you want to be nominated or want to nominate someone else, these rules must be met.
1. You are a citizen of Cuberia in Creative, or Emerald Shores or Mountain Dew Town (or other partnership projects) in Survival.
2. You have been nominated/supported by 1 other person, who must meet the above conditions. If you want to nominate someone, you must message fredlime.
3. You have formally accepted nominations and agreed to be named on a ballot.
4. You have not used any bribery or nefarious means to gain nominations, including personal promises, payments or any other means judged improper. The elections officer (fredlime) will investigate any claims.
5. You are not currently the leader or in a leadership position of another 'nations' project on CV. Discretion over what projects count will be decided on a case-by-case basis by the elections officer.

Voting Stage
On Monday 22nd June 2026, voting will open with all candidates who have been nominated and accepted their nomination via a google form which will later be attached to this post. If you have restricted internet access, you will be able to vote in-game by contacting the elections officer directly, who will fill out a form on your behalf. The voting form will NOT collect your email address or personal information - however, you will have to give your Minecraft username to validate responses. Even if you are a member of multiple Cuberian projects, we run on a strictly one-member one-vote basis.
If you are not a citizen of Cuberia via Creative, Emerald Shores or Mtn Dew Town (or other partnership projects), your ballot will not be counted.
Voting will take place using Instant Runoff - you will rank candidates from favourite to least. If no candidate reaches 50% in the first round, we eliminate the last place candidate, and redistribute everyone's votes who put them as 'first place' in their ranking to their 'second place' choices. This will continue until a candidate reaches 50% to ensure broad consensus.

Campaign Rules
To ensure following server rules, all the campaign rules must be met if you are accepted as a nominee and make it onto the ballot. If these are broken, the elections officer will examine on a case-by-case basis and may remove you from the election.
1. You have not used any bribery or nefarious means to gain votes, including personal promises, payments or any other means judged improper. The elections officer (fredlime) will investigate any claims. This includes convincing people to join Cuberia to vote for you - people who vote must be in Cuberia of their own accord.
2. You keep your campaigns non-intrusive. What counts as 'intrusive' may include excessive posting in global chat or discord, persistently asking the same players over and over to vote for you or any other means of advertising that could be viewed as excessive.
3. You do not defame or spread misinformation about any other candidates. Friendly competition is allowed and encouraged, but making false claims or targeted attacks against other candidates is not.
