. C.U. Meeting Notes 11/9/2021
The Citizens Union organized a meeting on 11th September and nine people were in attendance — these meeting notes summarize the discussions that took place in the meeting:
. Pre-Submitted
These topics were submitted prior to the meeting by concerned citizens and presented by the citizens that submitted them. For this meeting, only one topic was submitted.
The first (and only) topic for this meeting — submitted by archer18sm — was the issue of using alternative accounts for collecting voting and quest rewards. It would be unfair (and detrimental to the economy), he continued, for a real-life “rich kid” could use his heaps of alternative accounts and earn enough for an elytra in mere days, while others will be at a disadvantage.
Mir07 pointed out that it would be tough for moderation to address this. His comment was met with a response suggesting IP verification for quests and voting and pre-approval by moderation for siblings or other situations where multiple Cubeville players exist under one roof — or perhaps increasing the difficulty of quests to reduce the appeal of alternative accounts.
SharkySlayer suggested that alternative accounts should be given ten cubes per month, while Ethanlues echoed Mir07’s comments by saying this idea would be difficult to implement. In the end, this idea was voted for by three people — two people voted against and a further three people abstained.

Though I wasn't in the CU meeting and is not in CU, I think that the idea that archer18sm presented is both good and bad. It would stop real life millionaire kids from having 15 alts and getting 90c from voting and 450c from quests in 1 day, but it would also stop brothers or sisters who have different accounts but live in the same roof as others. Some people (probably a majority of the common players) do not have alts. (including me.) Even though alts can be exploited every single day to get more cubes than others, alts may be a sibling just trying to play in this server. Hence, it is impossible to tell the difference between man and and his sibling. It could be just the same person lying behind the screen with a different account. Limiting Cubes to alts may mean a more fair level of equality, but at what cost? It may block siblings living in the same roof from enjoying the fullest of CV. So From all this block of text, I suggest it is a good idea to just leave this alone for a bit currently.

I could agree with the fact that using alts for voting would cuase an issue (I mean you only get 6c now..) but its not unfair to use alts on quests imo. Becuase you have to WORK for the cubes on quests

Agreed, and voting doesn't give much cubes any more, I keep forgetting to vote because of that.

I'm sure Archer values your feedback, although he has already responded to this specific point — and his response is already on the record in the meeting notes.
