Using 1.12.2, trying to connect to cubeville.org in the client, says "failed to connect to the server: Permission denied".

Hmm never had that happen to me before. If ur permission was denied it could mean u were banned for something but I dint think u have been banned that I know of. Try moving this to Report an Issue section. They can prob help u

Nope. cubeville.org and www.cubeville.org both result in a Permission Denied and failure to join server.

Could be that an entire IP range that happens to include my IP was banned. That's about the only reason I can think of, since my account itself wouldn't have any reason to be banned.

Well I was wrong, it was an old login security thing related to my time as an SA. Staff got it fixed and I'm back on.

Yes, I was a staff member from shortly after Cubeville started in 2011 up until last year when I retired, with most of that time spent being an SA.
