. C.U. Meeting Notes 11/9/2021
The Citizens Union organized a meeting on 11th September and nine people were in attendance — these meeting notes summarize the discussions that took place in the meeting:
. Pre-Submitted
These topics were submitted prior to the meeting by concerned citizens and presented by the citizens that submitted them. For this meeting, only one topic was submitted.
The first (and only) topic for this meeting — submitted by archer18sm — was the issue of using alternative accounts for collecting voting and quest rewards. It would be unfair (and detrimental to the economy), he continued, for a real-life “rich kid” could use his heaps of alternative accounts and earn enough for an elytra in mere days, while others will be at a disadvantage.
Mir07 pointed out that it would be tough for moderation to address this. His comment was met with a response suggesting IP verification for quests and voting and pre-approval by moderation for siblings or other situations where multiple Cubeville players exist under one roof — or perhaps increasing the difficulty of quests to reduce the appeal of alternative accounts.
SharkySlayer suggested that alternative accounts should be given ten cubes per month, while Ethanlues echoed Mir07’s comments by saying this idea would be difficult to implement. In the end, this idea was voted for by three people — two people voted against and a further three people abstained.
