Welcome to Woodhurst, a place where industrialism and the future collide!
Town Design
Town structures are designed in a steampunk theme. All builds have lots of character and added detail. In the town's unique fashion, the iron farm is surrounded with an octagonal base and a dome above, which makes it really stand out as a unique build. And while everyone wants to build a castle, this one is built with creativity and detail prominent in its design. The town has vegetation in just the right places, helping it to look natural and inviting.
Layout and Ease of Movement
Roads lead directly to each section of town with signposts present at each intersection which clearly show how to get to all the main attractions. Housing is contained in one area, shopping in another, farms are placed together and all are conveniently accessible via roads from the portal in town hall.
Commodities and Amenities/Sustainability
The Woodhurst town hall features all of the necessary commodities one might need at home: an enchanting and smelting floor, a brewing floor complete with netherwart farm, and a trade hall with LOTS of villagers ready and excited to trade with you!
Woodhurst has a free iron and poppy farm and large food crops with free melon, pumpkin, and sugar cane inside the windmill in the farms area. The barn houses several of each type of animal (pig, cow, sheep, and chicken) as well as an egg farm, free for all to use!
Woodhurst also has an XP farm similar to the ones in EoN, Hoth, and Arcadia that is a short walk from the town hall portal. Look for this big disk for your lift into the XP farm.
The shopping mall, also not far from town hall, has 32 shop plots available for shop owners and shoppers alike.
Finally, there are 12 pre-built houses and 12 rooms aboard our residential airship that are ready for tenants. With 6 residents and 2 shop owners, Woodhurst is active and ready to grow!
Surrounding Area/Town Wall
The surrounding area has had special attention paid to it as well as the town itself. The landscape is left natural as originally generated, with lighting buried throughout the NBZ to present a clean and pleasant environment. The edge of the NBZ is marked with cobblestone walls spaced evenly around the border to identify its boundaries as a safe zone.
Town walls are placed where necessary across land masses to keep mobs out and visitors safe. With much of the surrounding area being water, there are buoys spaced evenly marking the town’s border with the NBZ. The wall has had just as much detail and care taken in its design as with the rest of the town. The wall is safe for players and it keeps visitors safe from mobs.
