But you can always just use the iron trapdoors in their natural state I guess or substitute with wood ones. Like most things used to decorate, it's all trial and error to find the right item needed.
And don't forget there is youtube for all your decorating needs. BDoubleO100 always says to double thick your walls and floor/ceilings, by making the structure a bit larger to accommodate them. This would then give you access to an extra spot/level/layer in which to possibly hide the lever.
