Why can't we place TNT?

I can name many reasons for us wanting to place TNT


is there a way to let us place tnt but not make it do damage? Like creepers?


Or player damage?/

I want to place tnt... SELF DESTRUCE SYSTEM FOR RIFT!

What reasons are there for placing TNT and it not damaging anyone or anything? Besides the nice BOOM it makes.

What reasons are there for placing TNT and it not damaging anyone or anything? Besides the nice BOOM it makes.

Sound affects are nice xD but placing it in places ahead of time for rift is nice, I wanted to self destruct my builds with TNT, but cant do that since i cant place it, also dont want to spend my rift time doing it lol so if you could place it ahead of time just flick a lever and BOOM:P
