So after a lot of thinking I figured I would post some ideas here for CV7 and/or other future map updates
This WILL be updated as I think of new ideas :p.
General
1. Airport Hub
So I was thinking of some cool possible hub themes :p I love the one rn but I thought an... uh... interesting idea would be an airport-themed hub - There would be different sorta terminals or sections with the different portals in but instead of a conventional one they would be a path going into a plane, when you entered the plain it would be like barrier blocks and u can see the seats etc and it would TP u.
2. Circular area around spawn
So spawn rn has like a middle and 4 paths going out to a square birch path around the edge of central spawn. I was thinking, this birch square one around the edge could be a stone slab/stone brick/concrete modern circular path going around so it's like a circle, the plots wouldn't be oddly shaped but I was just thinking to have a road like that around the edge would work well with the sorta space theme :p.
3. Districted Spawn
A lot of towns have like themes - like desert, modern, rustic, stone, etc - I think like, obviously the main spawn should be as it is - unthemed, but I also think maybe like at the back of spawn having like a back row of plots or two to have a certain theme - Like desert or like kinda Egyptian, or like Aztec with stone and jungle, or modern, water-themed, etc.
4. Drop Town Themes
I think it would be nice to have some different themed drop towns - no build rule changes but something adventurous like Jungle, even an underground cave, NETHER or END even, mushroom island, or my fave for one - mesa.
5. Another Creative World / New Area In Current One
I think it would be nice to have a creative area that is either super flat or possibly even not - without plots. I think having an area where you can build BUT also have claims like survival. For example, a 2000x2000 world where you can have infinite 30x30 claims instead of 3 or 4 would be interesting.
6. The Highway
I love the highway design rn, but I think something that might be interesting is having it like CV5. Where it doesn't have an NBZ and its in the air so you can just build underneath it.
7. Drop Cities?
I think it would be nice to, as well as CVC, have other server-official areas kinda like drop towns for skyscrapers and shops - maybe like CVC and one in like two of the CV survival map corners. I think having a balance of the shops throughout the map may also help to reduce the lag in CVC of having so many shops, builds, items, chests, entities, etc. I mean, this could even be integrated into drop towns somehow :p
8. Seasonal CW Stuff
I think having like seasonal things like a changing spawn and/or like pathways in the Creative World would be nice - Just like in CVC.
Minigames
1. Sumo
This would be a game where you have knockback stick and you have to try to push your opponent off the platform. I think having some sort of map rotations on this would be nice too so you get like idk tp'ed into a random map of 10 or something.
2. Bedwars
2 teams so like red and blue. These teams are on 2 floating islands in the sky. Overall there are 5 islands - A central one, 2 halfway ones, and a team one. The team one would generate say iron and gold, or coal and iron, or something, and then the halfway ones could have like emerald, and central like nether star. These can be used to buy blocks to protect your bed. Basically you need to try and destroy the opponent team's bed.
3. Skywars
Kind of like bedwars, but each person has their own island. There are 9 islands all together - A central island and 8 surrounding it. These 8 will have people spawn on em, sometimes 1 sometimes 2, depending on who is playing. There will be 2 chests on these tiny islands - one on top of it and one in a cave, up a tree, behind it, etc. These will have necessary items like wood, stone, enchants, etc. They refill every 2 minutes.
4. Prison
Prison is quite a popular game among the Minecraft community. The idea is, you cannot go into the overworld and everything is in a certain place. By mining in a designated mining area (pickaxe gets more op as you level up - first you have like a diamond one,then diamond eff 1, 2, 3, etc.). As you mine, sell, mine, and sell more, you level up through the mines :p this is more of an ongoing game tho so not rlly one that can be done in uh like rounds :p.
5. Turf Wars
This is a game where you have like a large arena.... half of it is green, half is purple. each team spawn on their side. Basically, you cannot walk on the other team's turf. You have to try and shoot them with a bow. For each kill a team member gets, your turf will expand 1 block outwards, basically replacing or like 'colonizing' part of the opponent's turf. Its usually 50 blocks on each side - so overall 100 long.
6. Hide and Seek
A fun game where you are on a 100x100 kinda like pvp map. Well, it is PVP, except camping is encouraged! Its the camper and runner-friendly PVP game! Another cool idea is there are animals around the map which you can right click to morph into! Or even like items on armor stands or something :p.
