It has been a long time coming, but the SA team are happy to announce that CV7 will be launching on 17th January 2021. The end of map rift will begin on 16th January 2021, exact times will be announced nearer the launch date.
The new map will be on Minecraft Java version 1.16.4 and there will be a completely new survival world, with all new server builds and fresh terrain to explore and build on. And to ensure that you all have plenty of space to work with, we are going to be increasing the starting map size to 12,000x12,000* blocks. This is significantly larger than previous maps started out with and we look forward to seeing how you all fill it in!
We understand that this might be a difficult time for some players, CV6 has been around for a long time with a lot of amazing builds, and some of you might be in the middle of projects. We hope that the three weeks between now and the new map launch will give you time to finish off any bits you are working on, say goodbye to your bases and builds, and get excited for new things to come!
More information will be released between now and the map launch, with details of new and changed features, but for now we'll cover some key points about how map changes work.

An undisclosed location on CV7...

How does the map transfer work?
Once rift is over the new map will opened up, and all players will be sent there. Everyone will join as new players with no items in the tutorial, and will arrive in a brand new spawn area. At this point, you'll be free to go into the brand new wild and start exploring and building! We will be doing our best to make sure this is a seamless process and that everyone can join and experience the new map together once rift is over.

What is rift?
Rift is a Cubeville tradition, an event which consists of the SAs removing many of our plugins and allowing everyone to go a little wild. All builds are allowed to be destroyed, flooded, set ablaze, exploded etc, and PVP is turned ON -- allowing for the entire world of Cubeville as we know it to become a PVP arena. Many of the rules are also removed, so be sure to make note of what is actually allowed during Rift and which rules still apply.
If you do not want to participate in rift, you will still be able to play normally on the creative server, or play minigames in the skylands. Just because the survival world is burning and exploding doesn't mean you can't peacefully build on your creative plot still
The Rules of Rift
- No attempting to hack into the server itself or any staff accounts. Any attempt to jeopardize the security of the server will result in a permanent ban.
- No swearing. This chat rule still applies.
- Be respectful and considerate of others. Keep Rift fun for everyone. Do not hold grudges, do not be overly aggressive to others trying to enjoy Rift. Do not pressure people into joining Rift if they do not wish to.
- Do not dump lava at the /spawn point. It keeps people from being able to access CVC quickly and is not fun. Staff are not there to clean up after you.
- When Rift ends, all of the drama of Rift ends. When Rift is closed and we move on to the new map; do not hold grudges, do not bicker in chat, do not continue feuds.
- All player ranks will be disabled during rift, ensuring a level playing field for everyone
Does anything carry over to the new map?
The only thing that is carried between maps are ranks. If you have earned SK or any miniranks during this map they will be carried over to CV7. All cubes, builds and items will be completely reset.

Don't worry!
Map transitions can be really scary. We need to do our best to support each other to help everyone transition smoothly. That being said, here are the things we need to keep in mind:
✩ It's not the end- The builds from this map aren't gone forever! The CV6 survival world will be available to visit on Cubeville still, as one of the past maps you can access via Hub. You'll also get a world download at a later date; you can then load it up in singleplayer and visit anything you want, even continue playing.
✩ It'll be fun!- New maps can be scary but they're a lot of fun too! With no shops or bases full of items, people will actually have to go search for supplies and "work for a living".
✩ Level playing field - Everyone will start fresh including the economy, no one brings anything, there's no shops, and no money. There'll be no rich people for a while.
✩ Improve and Expand- It's a chance to try new things and start over, you can take what you learned from this map and make it even BETTER on the next! Make a 2.0 of your base, make more impressive house with new blocks etc.
✩ Exploring new updates! We've jumped forward several versions here and with that comes a lot of new features to play with. Here are some articles you can look at to see what new features will be coming to Cubeville on Map 7:
✩ 1.13 update
✩ 1.14 update
✩ 1.15 update
✩ 1.16 update
