I believe you were told this already, but I can repeat it here. We have an off-the-shelf solution that we are going to try, but it isn't the #1 priority. Custom solutions can be nice, but they can also over-complicate things when there is no sense reinventing the wheel.

... I'm an experienced software engineer and willing to put time in on CV and get this long list of things shorter. Nobody is really jumping at the offer though...
