Weep no more, fair Patron, for your Patreon points from CV7 will be returned to you on CV8, where you will be able to spend them all again! Pick your previous toys back up or try something new with your points this time, the choice is yours.

⋆°⦵.ᵒ FX Items on the Creative World
Patreon items will be available to play with on the Creative World as well as the Survival World, so you can enjoy the benefits of being a Cubeville supporter regardless of which of these worlds you are on! Items will have attached permissions to keep them exclusive to our Patrons.

⋆°⦵.ᵒ Extra Home
Whilst you are an active Patron at the $5 tier or above, you will enjoy the luxury of an extra /home slot on the Survival World, making your Minecraft life just that much easier. Why trudge from place to place when you are ⋆⟡˙special✧˖°. ?

⋆°⦵.ᵒ Patreon Pets
Who doesn't love pets? We have been working to add support for our own custom critters that follow you around, like the C.O.S.M.O. bot that premiered this past month! Expect to see more fun pets as we expand possibilities in this department and continue to improve and refine the plugin.

⋆°⦵.ᵒ Extra Creative Plot
Once you've donated $25 as a Patron, you will be eligible for an extra Creative World plot on which to build to your heart's content for the duration of CV8. You may add other members, subzone, and use this additional plot just as you can your primary. The additional plot system will be implemented in the new year.

⋆°⦵.ᵒ Priority Creative Plots
As an extra start of map perk to thank our supporters, Patrons will be eligible first for spawn plots on the Creative World, in order of lifetime donations. This perk will only be available at the launch of CV8, after which Patrons will receive Creative world plots the same as other players.

I want me and neon to have a spawn plot and she can't have the chance to because patrons are gonna take over spawn of CV8 Creative and that just sucks.
I don't like the second /home either because I know people spend days on home II because it cost a lot. Now People can just PAY to have this. This is like OLD CV buyable ranks al over again.
Please don't come back to this. I want to let yalls know this. Don't go back to your CV5-raised ways. Please.

in reply to what i said earlier, i'd buy the rank if they removed priority creative plots and the extra home, everything else is reasonable enough. but they need to change that

I think that claiming the server is becoming pay to win is overreacting, personally. The server has bills to pay every month, at the moment the patreon income doesn't meet our expenses, and the gap is made up by me paying extra money each month to cover the costs. So, of course we're going to reassess the current patreon perks and see if we can make it more attractive to players, and reward those who keep the server going with better perks. If you look at other servers who are selling /fly, /god, and some literally selling staff ranks, I think these are very minor changes which do not effect the experience of other players.

No member of staff gets paid, all our income goes to the bills, we're a not-for-profit server. We're never going to become "p2w" to bring in more money for the sake of it. We just want to pay the bills and keep Cubeville going so we get to CV9, CV10, etc.

I'm sure it doesn't feel great as a player who isn't a patron to see others getting perks, but those perks are a reward for those who are funding the server and giving everyone a free place to enjoy minecraft together.

I know some players had been hoping to get a creative plot around spawn, but there are only 8 plots directly adjoining spawn, and dozens of players wanting them. So whatever happened, a lot of players were going to miss out on creative plots near spawn, and a race for whoever can log on and get there the fastest makes having a good internet connection and living near the server to have low ping pay to win using similar logic.

Sure, before we had a Patreon, and before the EULA was changed, and before any of the current SA team were involved, CV sold ranks in order to pay the bills. CV was also not-for-profit back then, and any extra money that was made in a year that didn't go towards bills was donated to charity.

It is an announcement, not a negotiation. Being upset about it is your right, but we have many other players who may well be happy about the change.
