A Poem about the Pale Garden and the Creaking

Hello. I don't write very often for fun, but I guess something about the Pale Garden inspired me. I wrote this poem last year, but I thought it would still be worth sharing now, especially since it's just after Halloween, and Cubeville has updated so we now have access to the Pale Garden features. A poem about the Pale Garden and the Creaking

As the sun descends,
only shadows remain,
a wanderer walks
down a dark forest lane,
where the ghostly trees
with pale gray leaves
seem to come awake...

As the fog rolls in,
leaving mortal eyes blind,
the breath of the wind
plays tricks on the mind,
and the night-flowers bloom,
piercing the gloom
like bright orange eyes...

As the branches creak
in the pale moonlight,
you can't shake the feeling
that something's not right,
then you hear a strange sound,
and look all around,
but there's no one in sight...

As the monster lurks,
creeping up from behind,
the source of that sound
you can't seem to find–
until through the haze,
you fix your gaze
upon three glowing eyes...

As the air stands still
between hunter and prey,
you stand paralyzed–
should you fight, or run away?
but you begin to realize,
it's already too late,
here you will meet your fate...

As the terror rises
you try to keep it at bay,
you finally decide
to start running away,
through the night pitch-black–
there's nowhere to hide–
with the beast at your back...

As the new sun rises,
the woods are silent and still,
and the biting cold air
has lost some of its chill,
but there is no trace
of the epic chase–
of the horrors that took place.

That is great. I love it. You have a way with words.

I put words to 2 lots of MC music too. Relic and A Familiar Room. Relic, like your poem, talks of finding a Trail Ruin. Familiar Room is just sad.

It's interesting that you mentioned putting words to music, because I actually thought of this poem while I had a song stuck in my head. It was not a Minecraft song, it was just a random song I heard, but as I was coming up with this poem I used the tune and rhythm of the song for it. But I think it still sounds good without knowing the tune that I was thinking of when I wrote it.
