Public Village

This might be a good idea, but maybe there should be a public village (inhabited by villagers), and could be a good place to trade, barter, and get good items from the village. Villager trades have gotten better since 1.14. It could have all kinds of villager professions, and could be one of the major things in everyone's inventories. It's also harder to get villager trades currently, and there are barely any villages when I explored around in the world. There isn't any portals to villages as well.

Elysium (a village) has a Villager trading hall with more than 30 different villagers

I think this is something we would want to leave to players, it's a popular attraction for player-made settlements and nothing I would want overshadowed by being supplied already by the server. We do sell villager eggs at spawn though, if you have enough trouble finding your own that it seems worth it to buy a couple and build from there. :)
